cheese-common software package provides Common files for the Cheese tool to take pictures and videos, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cheese-common
cheese-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cheese-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cheese-common *
You will get with cheese-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
